- Jurisprudence Assessment Module accepted in addition to Ohio Law Exam for PT and PTA Applicants
In recognition that available slots at Ohio Prometric locations are currently limited, the PT Section will now accept the new Ohio Jurisprudence Assessment Module (JAM) as an alternative to the Ohio Law Exam for the purposes of granting licensure by examination, endorsement, or reinstatement for the duration of the Executive Order 2020-01D, which declares a state of emergency in Ohio due to COVID-19. You may register and take the JAM at the following link: https://www.fsbpt.org/Our-Services/Jurisprudence-Assessment-Module-JAM-Services/Ohio. The cost of the JAM is $48. Please note, you will be asked if you have ever held a license in Ohio. When you select “No” you will get a pop up message that indicates that you must take the Ohio Law exam for initial licensure. Please disregard this alert and select the "Confirm and Continue" button.
If you have already registered for the Ohio Law exam, the PT Section will continue to accept that exam for the purposes of licensure. If you wish to cancel your Law exam and register for the JAM, please follow these instructions. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Board at Board@otptat.ohio.gov.
